As landing on the island may require us to perform some acrobatics therefore we will minimize the amount of the gear taken with us.

Electric power will be supplied by a single generator.

The radios will be two Yaesu FT-857Ds with the necessary filters for CW and SSB. Two Samlex SMPSUs will feed the radios. These are proven to be RF-quiet and very reliable.

We consider antennas the most important part of our equipment and will be trying to avoid ANY compromise on them.

There will be two Dunax multiband verticals: These are lightweight, rugged trap verticals using very high-Q traps. GPW3B is a 3-band WARC-band vertical for 30, 17 and 12m. GPN4B is a 4-band vertical for 40/20/15 and 10 meter bands. Each vertical has 6 tuned radials per band. HA1AG used these verticals in E44, JT and on 2003 IOTA contest category winning 9A0CI expedition

Tomi HA4DX of Dunax kindly supplied us these antennas, which will remain in Chile after the expedition, hopefully serving many expeditions in the future!

In addition to these we will bring a 12m and a 10m heavy duty fiberglass poles kindly donated by DF4SA of Spiderbeam.

At last but not least we will have a 5-band heavy-duty Spiderbeam with us in Chile although we don't have high hopes if we could install it on the top of the rock. First, due to very likely lack of guying points for the mast, second due to the very strong and gusty winds in the area. Anyway, it will be there and we will give it a try.

At last but not least many thanks to HA3OV & HA6ND for their support with preparation and last-minute arrangements!
